Hi, i’m Jolie i am a general obedience trainer with Best Behaviour K9. I started as a volunteer in October of 2022 and have been part of the team ever since.
I have always had a passion for all animals especially dogs. I started trick training with my families SBT Mac and caught the training bug. As well as dogs i also have experience training pigeons, parrots and ferrets.
Working with these animals taught me immense patience especially as Mac came to us at 9 months and he came with his own issues such as separation anxiety and noise aversion.
Helping with these issues inspired me to pursue courses in psychology and animal management so I could better understand why animals behaved in certain ways and to how they can adjust to our human world.
I have an AS level in psychology and i my aim is to study psychology at the university of Sheffield in the fall.
I also have a triple merit in Animal management level 3. I love everything dog training related and I am always looking at ways to learn, grown and become a better trainer.
I currently own a Staffordshire bull terrier called Judd (yes from Kez) he’s a dog full of character who takes every day by storm. He loves training, especially trick training and he’s played a huge role in helping me put all my theory into practice.
